I hope everyone out there in Middle Tennessee and their families are safe with all the flooding in the area.

For car nuts, this will make you cry.

Guy down the road from me has a restoration shop behind his house and does musclecars and street rods. The fire dept told them to evacuate because the water was rising so fast. When they came back, his shop and house were under water. He had completely re-done the house 2 years ago, paid it off and when he did, canceled the flood insurance. Lost much of his house, no insurance.

In the shop was a high dollar fastback Shelby restoration. It was on a lift and the only car to survive the flood. He had a '68 RS Camaro convertible, 442 Convertible, Trans Am, DeLorean, Bricklin (2 of the 3 gull wing cars) a few I'm sure I forgot and last..........

A '32 Chevy street rod he did that he personally bought from Roy Orbison when he was alive. All of these were his personal cars and were completely under water. I drove by yesterday and he had everything out on the lawn and it looks like nothing was spared (except the Shelby) from the flood.
